Come and kick-off the International Year of Astronomy with Lake Metroparks at the Penitentiary Glen Nature Center. This year marks the 400th anniversary of Galileo using the first long distance telescope to look up into the night sky. Join in as we celebrate this monumental achievement. See what Galileo saw and explore the night sky. Activities include the inflatable STARLAB planetarium, telescopes, astronomical demonstrations, and crafts. Activities run throughout the evening.
